Dr. Cheung regularly attends conferences to keep updated on the latest information and advances in feline medicine. These include;

July 2010 - Attended annual Fred Scott Feline Symposium in Ithaca, New York (Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine) - topcis included Chronic Kidney Disease, Feline Idiopathic Hypercalcemia, Feline Cardiomyopathy, Feline Idiopathic/Interstital Cystitis, Urethral Obstruction in Cats, Feline Dermatology, Feline Respiratory Distress and CPR.

March 2010 - Attended and participated in a Dental Wet Lab at the Ontario Veterinary College (CVO).

February 2010 - Attended Feline Medicine lecture.  Topics of discussion included Feline PU/PD, Management of Chronic Kidney Disease in Cats, The Vomiting Cat, Management of the Cat in Shock and The Cat with Dyspnea. 

October 2009 - Attended American Association of Feline Practitioners conference in Denver, Colorado, on Complex Disease Management. 

July 2009 - Attended annual Fred Scott Feline Symposium in Ithaca, New York (Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine) - topics included Feline Infectious Gastrointestinal Diseases, Feline Vaccine Controversies, Feline  Obesity, Feline Diabetes Mellitus, Feline Nutrition and Feline Pancreatitis and Inflammatory Liver Disease.

Spring 2009 - American Association of Feline Practitioners Conference in Savanah, Georgia.   

Summer 2008 - Attended a lecture presented by John August, author of Consultations in Feline Internal Medicine, covering a potpourri of feline topics.

Winter 2008 - Attended Veterinary Symposium in Toronto.  Topics of discussion included management of vomiting cats, health care management for aging cats and treament of liver disease in cats.

July 2008 - 20th Annual Fred Scott Feline Symposium (Cornell University, College of Veterinary  Medicine, Ithaca, New York) - topics included feline Enrichment Techniques, Neulogical Disorders, Feline Herpes virus, Calicivirus, sneezing and coughing cats.

 May 2008 - Golden Triangle Veterinary Academy - Dr. John August - Specialist in feline internal medicine- topics included chronic upper respiratory disease, irritative voiding, thyroid function testing, and feline skin lesions. 

Winter 2007 -  Dr. Margie Scherk and Dr. Debbie Greco - Both highly respected internists in feline medicine - both provided extremely useful information  on feline diabetes, renal disease and obesity.

May 2007 - ContinuEd Feline Symposium in SAN FRANCISCO!!! - Multiple specialists who shared their knowledge and expertise on hyperthyroidism, respiratory diseases, urinary/bladder issues and diseases, drug therapy, and renal disease.

2000, 2005 - lectures and wet labs on dental surgery with Dr. Fraser Hale and Dr. Ian Haws, both who are accredited dental surgeons in Guelph.
